Opening the 33rd season of WKHS Theatre, Another Universe featured student-directed one-act plays that invited audiences into a thought-provoking world where imagination, connection, and the possibilities of what could be collided. Through creative storytelling and staging, the production explored the choices that shape our lives and the paths we might have taken.
Into the Woods
November 17-18, 2023
This celebrated musical blended beloved fairy tales with humor, heart, and unexpected twists, exploring the consequences of wishes, the complexity of choices, and the realization that happily ever after was often more complicated than it seemed. Into the Woods marked WKHS Theatre’s first production entered in the Marquee Awards, garnering several nominations and recognition for the outstanding work of the cast and crew. The students also took the full production on the road, performing at the 2024 Ohio State Thespian Conference, hosted at Sylvania Northview High School from March 22–24, 2024.
Bye Bye Birdie February 23-24, 2024
A high-energy, comedic musical inspired by the excitement of 1950s rock-and-roll culture, Bye Bye Birdie brought catchy songs, lively dance numbers, and plenty of laughs to the stage. When a teen idol was drafted into the army, chaos erupted in a small town, creating a fun-filled production that captured the spirit of an unforgettable era.
The Ghost of Rhodes Manor April 11-13, 2024
A suspenseful mystery featuring an all-female cast, The Ghost of Rhodes Manor kept audiences engaged with its secrets, unexpected twists, and eerie encounters. As strange events unfolded within the manor, the characters worked to uncover the truth behind its haunting presence, revealing hidden secrets along the way.
Thespy Cabaret

An evening of dynamic performances showcased individual talent through songs, scenes, and monologues. This cabaret-style production highlighted the versatility and artistry of its performers in an intimate, engaging format.
Gathering Blue
May 10-11, 2024
Closing the 33rd season of WKHS Theatre, Gathering Blue transported audiences to a world of mystery, courage, and self-discovery. Based on the novel by Lois Lowry, the production followed Kira, a young artist who uncovered hidden truths about her community while finding the strength to embrace her own abilities.
